Hi! I’m Ileenja Marina, born in May 1994 and now 31 years old. I split my time between the Netherlands, Marrakech, and Spain. Three places that continuously inspire my work and shape the way I see the world.

While I’ve always loved to travel, my true passion lies in capturing the beauty of life through my lens. For the past nine years, I’ve dedicated myself to photography, exploring new places and documenting the stunning landscapes, vibrant cultures, and quiet, meaningful moments I encounter along the way.

Photography allows me to connect deeply with the world around me. To pause, observe, and translate emotions into images. Every photo I take holds a memory, a feeling, a piece of light that tells its own story.

It’s a joy and an honor to share my view of the world with you, adding a touch of wanderlust and warmth to homes across the globe through the beautiful frames of Pure Reflection.

A Life in Images My name is Lahcen. I am a photographer and I see life through light, texture and emotion. I capture the moments that find me. I was born in the Dades Valley, where nature, silence and creativity met. From a young age, I created with my hands shapes, colors, clothing. When I moved to the Netherlands at 21 to study at the Vogue Academy, I bought my first camera to document my designs. Soon I realized that photography was not my choice, it chose me. After years in the Netherlands, I returned to Marrakech to fully follow my passion. I worked alongside inspiring photographers and brands, learning not just how to shoot but how to see. My photography is spontaneous and real. Every glance can become a photograph. I capture life as it is, pure and true. Photography is my therapy, my freedom, my way of staying connected to the world and to myself. My work reflects light, emotion and authenticity, from Morocco to Ibiza, from stillness to motion. We believe in the value of the stories being unfold.It begins with embracing who you truly are, with all your imperfections and unique qualities.    Personal development Holding Up a Mirror: The Power of Self-Reflection In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we often find ourselves moving from one task to the next. We work, manage responsibilities, care for others, and try to keep up with the fast pace of the world. But how often do we truly stop and look at ourselves? How often do we hold up a mirror to our inner selves? The person you are today is shaped by all the experiences and events you’ve been through. Some moments may have been challenging, others joyful, but they have all contributed to making you who you are. The question is: are you happy with the person you see? Or are you living on autopilot, caught up in the demands of daily life? Living Instead of Just Surviving Many people are not truly living; they are simply surviving. They’re guided by external factors: the expectations of others, the pressure of work, social media, and the constant distractions of modern life. It’s as if we’ve forgotten how to live fully, how to listen to our inner voice. But there’s a big difference between living and surviving. Living means making conscious choices, being connected to your authentic self, and living according to your own values and dreams. Surviving, on the other hand, means reacting to what life throws at you, without pausing to consider if this is truly what you want. It means being honest with yourself and having the courage to face the pain you might have been avoiding for years. It means taking a moment to reflect on where you are and where you want to go. Pure Reflection aims to support you on this journey. Every time you look into one of our handmade mirrors, I want you to pause and truly see yourself – not just your appearance, but your inner self. Who are you? What do you feel? What are your dreams? It’s a moment of self-reflection, a reminder to reconnect with your authentic self, free from the distractions of the world around you. Facing Pain Instead of Running from It Many people avoid pain and discomfort. It’s understandable: it’s hard to sit with the things that hurt. But it’s only by facing your pain that you truly come to know yourself. Pain serves a purpose; it shows you where you still have work to do, where you can still grow. By running from pain, you’re running from your own growth. Self-reflection is not just about looking at what’s going well, but also about having the courage to see where things can improve. It’s the choice to heal, rather than suppress. Only by confronting your pain can you move forward. Pure Reflection: More Than a Mirror Pure Reflection is more than just a brand for interiors. Our mirrors are more than objects for your home; they’re tools for self-reflection. Every time you look at yourself, I hope you take a moment to pause. What do you feel in this moment? Behind the scenes: collection shoot

A while ago we finished an exciting adventure to find the best photoshoot locations for Pure Reflection. Our brainstorming sessions were filled with great ideas and energy. After a lot of brainstorming, we chose three beautiful places that perfectly represent my brand.   Collection shoot Pure Reflection  Each location has its own style: one is colorful, another has a calm Japandi vibe, and the last one is modern and sleek. This variety fits our diverse mirror collection really well. Bringing these shoots to life was quite a challenge. We had to transport 21 mirrors safely, which was both thrilling and a bit nerve-wracking! There’s always a bit of suspense about how the final photos will turn out, but I was lucky to work with a fantastic interior photographer who captured my  mirrors beautifully. After the shoots, we carefully packed the mirrors again so they could be used for future projects. This step was important to keep our products in great condition. Meeting the homeowners at each location was another highlight. It was wonderful to connect with new people and hear their stories. Their lovely homes and stories added extra inspiration to our shoots. In the end I’m really happy with how the process and product photos turned out. Even though some situations may be stressful, I truly enjoyed it. Seeing my mirrors in such beautiful settings has been very rewarding. Thank you for being part of this journey with Pure Reflection!
